Celebrity nail technician Harriet Westmoreland has introduced a new manicure on Instagram, combining two popular nail trends of 2024 – the French manicure and ombré nails – into what she calls“fombré.” According to Westmoreland, this hybrid manicure is ultra-flattering and creates a glowing and glossy effect, catching the light and giving off a super gloss reflection.

The fombré manicure will be a huge trend this summer as it offers a subtle and sheer look while still making use of color. It allows the natural nail bed to be visible while enhancing the appearance of the nails.

For a fombré manicure, choose milky whites, peaches, and pinks while ensuring that they are kept sheer. She particularly recommends using builder gel from The Gel Bottle in shades such as Bella, BIAB 17, and Cutie BIAB for easier application and aesthetically pleasing results.

Westmoreland asserts that the fombré manicure works well on all nail lengths and shapes, but she prefers to apply it onto medium-length, square nails. The new manicure has garnered significant attention on social media, with Westmoreland stating that the response has been extraordinary.
